Finding HMS Resolute – Feb. 18 2:30 pm Mystic Seaport Ice Fest

Join Steve Manuel as he discusses the Perkins and Smith firm and their contribution to finding HMS Resolute.  The talk will be at Mystic Seaport during their Ice Fest.  You can stay to see their Death in the Ice exhibit.

Explore the basics of doing traditional and online research in a four-session course: March 20 and 27, April 3 and 10 (Wednesdays)  10 a.m. -12 noon

Registration$40 for members of the New London County Historical Society $60 for non-members. Space very limited; pre-registration required by March 8th.


Lecture on Frances Caulkins By Nancy Steenburg, PhD. Saturday April 20, 2019 1:00pm Otis Library, Community Room

Nancy will be speaking about Frances Manwaring Caulkins, both about Caulkins’s life and work in Norwich, but more specifically about her involvement in the abolition movement in Norwich, where she was the first president of the Norwich Female Anti-Slavery Society.

Pride and Prejudice

This year Flock Theatre presents Pride and Prejudice, an adaptation of the Jane Austen novel in our Long Parlor.  Enjoy the play amid this historic setting.  The play runs for three weeks May 10-26, Friday and Saturday evenings, with a Sunday Matinee.  For more details and to purchase tickets click here
