Capital campaign funds are used for a specific purpose or project that addresses specific needs for the historical society. In the past, capital funds have been used to:

  • Replace two air conditioning units
  • Restore our the Long Parlor. The project included window restoration, painting, plastering and the recreation of an original wall cabinet, currently used as a cabinet of curiosities for elementary-school programs.
  • Maintain and repair of the property’s front wrought-iron fence. The fence has stood on the property since 1845.
  • Currently, we are collecting funds to reprinting our updated version of The Joshua Hempstead Diary.
