Donor Recognition — The Captain Nathaniel Shaw Society
We are extremely grateful for all donations to the New London County Historical Society, and in close to 150 years of existence there have been many. Thankfully we have a number of friends who have made regular donations through several years; the Board of Directors has chosen to recognize a cumulative total of $5,000 in donations by naming these friends as members of the Captain Nathaniel Shaw Society. This recognition society is, of course, named for the successful merchant captain who built the Shaw Mansion; all of us shape history but it was he who initially created the tangible evidence that we enjoy and preserve today as our home.
